This tour takes in the major highlights. Spend 3 nights in Cape Town with a city tour, a visit to Table Mountain (weather permitting) and a full day excursion to the Cape of Good Hope, which includes a short boat road to see seals & visiting a breeding colony of African Penguins en route. Optional additional excursions, such as a visit to the beautiful Winelands, can be arranged. On the fourth day leave Cape Town and drive to the Garden Route, so called for its natural scenic beauty. Visit an Ostrich Farm, the famous Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch and enjoy a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Continue along the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth, established after the arrivals of the British Settlers in 1820. Spend a night in Addo National Park, noted for its elephants as wells as a variety of other game. Fly to Durban and enjoy a short city tour before travelling northwards towards Hluhluwe Game Reserve, famous for its rhinoceros. Enjoy a cruise on Lake St. Lucia, part of the isiMangaliso World Heritage Site before continuing north to Swaziland, the smallest kingdom in the world. (Passport & visa required). Visit a candle making factory and a glass factory before returning to South Africa and entering the southern section of the world renowned Kruger National Park. Spend two nights here with game drives in the comfort of your air-conditioned vehicle (open vehicle game drives available at an optional extra). The Kruger Park is known for its great diversity of species, both plant and animal. On the thirteenth day drive to Pretoria or Johannesburg. Finally, on the last day, visit Sterkfontein, another World Heritage site, noted for the discovery of Man’s earliest ancestors. Transfer to the airport on the 15 th day.
